When we left the hospital on Friday our baby Zoe had a bilirubin count of 9, and so we were instructed to go in on Sunday and have another test done and her count had risen to 17 so now we have to have her on a UV bed, i just hope she does not think this is the best way to get a tan...

When we left the hospital on Friday our baby Zoe had a bilirubin count of 9, and so we were instructed to go in on Sunday and have another test done and her count had risen to 17 so now we have to have her on a UV bed, i just hope she does not think this is the best way to get a tan...

Didn't the doctors tell you that she needed to have as much skin exposed as possible. My son was only in a diaper, and we had to put him in the sun whenever we could. This problem is probably over, but I thought I would give my 2 cents worth. This is Becky's SIL.
She is in a brand new style UV bed, she is in a diaper, and the UV light can cause blindness so she has to lay on her back and have the covering over her, her arms and legs and back are exposed to the light and her levels have dropped so she no longer needs the lights
